A pesar de que han pasado casi tres meses desde que la DANA asoló numerosas localidades valencianas de l’Horta Sud, muchas viviendas de las poblaciones afectadas continúan en la actualidad en un estado muy mejorable. Ante esta realidad, la firma Baixens, con sede en Alginet (Valencia), ha llevado a cabo una iniciativa solidaria consistente en fabricar y donar pintura para la rehabilitación de viviendas que sufrieron los efectos de la catástrofe natural el pasado 29 de octubre.
La campañía ha producido 150.000 kilos de pintura envasada en botes de 15 kilogramos que ya han sido puestos a disposición de los ciudadanos en 24 puntos solidarios distribuidos por la zonas más afectadas. Para obtener la pintura aportada por Baixens tan solo ha sido necesario presentar el DNI para acreditar la residencia en una de las áreas dañadas en cualquiera de las empresas distribuidoras que han colaborado con esta iniciativa.
Desde la firma señalan que «la pintura solidaria Baixens es una pintura de altas prestaciones. Ha sido formulada en color blanco, acabado mate y es de uso interior y exterior. Se trata de una pintura apta para soportes donde la humedad ha causado estragos, ya que posee una elevada transpirabilidad e incluye en su formulación conservante antimoho para la película seca. Estas características permiten evacuar la humedad residual de las paredes evitando la aparición de posibles microorganismos que proliferan en presencia de agua. Eso sí, tal y como ocurre con cualquier pintura, se recomienda que esta se aplique cuando el soporte esté completamente seco».
Desde Baixens reseñan que «esta iniciativa no hubiera sido posible sin la inestimable colaboración de los puntos solidarios, empresas distribuidoras con las que Baixens trabaja desde hace ya muchos años y que han mostrado la misma voluntad de ayudar a todos aquellos que han sufrido los efectos de esta terrible DANA».

The campaign has produced 150,000 kilograms of paint packaged in 15-kilogram pots that have already been made available to citizens at 24 solidarity points distributed throughout the most affected areas. To obtain the paint provided by Baixens, it has only been necessary to present the ID to prove residence in one of the damaged areas at any of the distribution companies that have collaborated with this initiative.

It has been formulated in white, with a matte finish and is for indoor and outdoor use. It is a paint suitable for surfaces where humidity has caused havoc, as it has high breathability and includes an anti-mold preservative in its formulation for the dry film. These characteristics allow the residual humidity to be evacuated from the walls, preventing the appearance of possible microorganisms that proliferate in the presence of water. However, as with any paint, it is recommended that this be applied when the surface is completely dry.»
Baixens points out that «this initiative would not have been possible without the invaluable collaboration of the solidarity points, distribution companies with which Baixens has been working for many years and who have shown the same desire to help all those who have suffered the effects of this terrible DANA.»
