Del 20 al 22 de mayo de 2025 vuelve Construmat con más ideas, soluciones, empresas y profesionales para ayudar a redefinir la construcción y la rehabilitación en clave de sostenibilidad. Con la participación de 350 expositores de 22 países, Construmat será un gran escaparate de tecnologías, sistemas y materiales constructivos, así como un foro de conocimiento para avanzar hacia un modelo de edificación más innovador y responsable, capaz también de responder al déficit de viviendas en España.

Organizado por Fira de Barcelona, Construmat se ha convertido en un referente para profesionales vinculados a la cadena de valor de la industria de la construcción que buscan las últimas novedades y tendencias en sostenibilidad, tecnología y eficiencia. Se espera la asistencia de más de 22.000 visitantes.

El presidente de Construmat y de APCE España, Xavier Vilajoana, subraya “la representatividad y el carácter transversal e innovador de la oferta comercial del salón” y se muestra convencido que “la interacción entre profesionales, empresas, expertos y representantes de las Administraciones en la feria generará nuevas ideas, soluciones, aprendizajes y colaboraciones que contribuirán a transformar una industria esencial para aumentar el parque de viviendas y construir edificios, espacios y entornos de forma más eficiente y sostenible”.

Sectores y empresas destacadas

Hasta el momento, los sectores más representados en Construmat son los de muros, estructuras, fachadas y cubiertas; carpintería de madera, metálica y PVC; aislamiento, impermeabilización, recubrimientos y pinturas; pavimentos y revestimientos; construcción industrializada; y maquinaria, herramientas y equipos. Todos ellos suman el 65% del total de expositores.

Completan la oferta del salón las especialidades de climatización y ventilación; protección solar; servicios profesionales; iluminación; urbanismo, paisajismo y espacio exterior; mobiliario e interiorismo; vidrio; BIM y TIC para el proyecto y la obra; baños; cocinas; gestión del agua; gestión y captación de energía, así como asociaciones y organismos.

Entre las empresas que ya han confirmado su participación figuran algunas de las más influyentes del sector como Alsina, Technal, K-line, Urbidermis, Jung, Greco Gres, Exlabesa, Deceuninck, Grupo Valverde, Cosentino, Stil Condal, Indalsu, Alufactory, Fischer, PMP, Molins, Saltoki Offsite, Lahyer, Evowall, Tq Tecnol, Renolit, Dakota, Steico, KLH y A. Solanes, entre otras.

Por otro lado, un 36% de la exposición comercial será internacional, evidenciando el interés que despierta el mercado español y su área de influencia en el sur de Europa y el Mediterráneo. Concretamente, asistirán empresas y pabellones agrupados de Francia, Alemania, Portugal, China, Turquía, Polonia, Bélgica, Austria, Marruecos, Italia, Reino Unido, Países Bajos, Egipto, Andorra o Lituania, entre otros.

Asimismo, está prevista la participación de varias entidades internacionales que organizarán en el marco de Construmat jornadas y eventos propios. Destacan la sesión de la Unión de Arquitectos del Mediterráneo (Umar) “Desastres naturales en el área mediterránea. Los arquitectos al servicio de la sociedad” y la asamblea y jornada de Build Europe, la asociación que representa a los promotores y constructores residenciales de 18 países de la Unión Europea (UE), sobre vivienda asequible.

Startups y foro de inversión

Dentro del área expositiva, habrá, una zona con una treintena de start-ups seleccionadas por el desarrollo de soluciones tecnológicas para mejorar procesos, reducir costes y aumentar la eficiencia en el ámbito de la construcción (Contech) y para reinventar servicios en el sector inmobilario (PropTech). Irá acompañada de una zona de charlas y sesiones de pitching y networking para presentar los proyectos a posibles inversores, compradores y socios. Asimismo, entre los conceptos presentados, Construmat entregará el premio a la mejor empresa emergente de esta edición.

Además de la muestra comercial, Construmat destaca como importante foro de diálogo y conocimiento sectorial, así como lugar de formación, innovación y networking con múltiples actividades. Entre ellas, destaca el Sustainable Building Congress, donde se presentarán ejemplos de proyectos punteros en el ámbito de la construcción sostenible vinculados a la producción de viviendas sociales y asequibles, a la creación de espacios saludables y biohabitables y al uso de la inteligencia artificial en los procesos constructivos.

Otro de los centros de debate será el nuevo espacio Construmat Experience que acogerá presentaciones de proyectos, masterclass y mesas redondas promovidas por entidades del sector. Se hablará de diseños con inteligencia artificial, de mejora de la resiliencia de las edificaciones frente a emergencias climáticas, de fórmulas de atracción de talento joven y de mujeres al sector, de ahorro energético o de soluciones para la reconstrucción tras la DANA de Valencia. También tendrá lugar el Summit de Ingeniería de Instalaciones by ACI donde se discutirán temas clave como la descarbonización, sistemas de control con inteligencia artificial y proyectos de construcción complejos.

Por otro lado, las demostraciones prácticas y las formaciones ganan protagonismo en el salón. Así el Área Workshop acogerá talleres y actividades interactivas diseñadas para el aprendizaje y la actualización profesional. Se podrá participar en sesiones sobre certificación solar, técnicas de pintura decorativa sostenibles, albañilería industrializada, hermeticidad en la rehabilitación y otras soluciones innovadoras presentadas en la feria.

Igualmente, el público podrá disfrutar de La Plaza, un showroom de 200m² de arquitectura efímera, funcional y sostenible. Diseñado por jóvenes talentos, integrará eficiencia energética, materiales saludables y estética bajo el concepto de “Eco Construcción”.

En la misma línea, otro espacio interesante será la Biblioteca de materiales de Construmat donde se mostrarán composites innovadores y materiales de construcción circulares utilizados sobre prototipos para comprobar su potencial de aplicación.

Promoción del talento

Este año, Construmat estrena una iniciativa encaminada a presentar el sector de la construcción como una opción laboral atractiva para los jóvenes y otros profesionales. En colaboración con Barcelona Activa, el 22 de mayo dedicará una jornada para conocer el tipo de profesionales cualificados que demanda la industria, ofrecer orientación y generar oportunidades profesionales mediante encuentros entre candidatos y reclutadores.

Finalmente, de la mano de la Fundación Mies Van der Rohe en el marco del salón se entregarán los Premios Construmat 2025. Estos galardones reconocen la excelencia y la sostenibilidad de los proyectos arquitectónicos y, en esta ocasión, distinguirán construcciones responsables y pioneras en arquitectura saludable.

Organized by Fira de Barcelona, Construmat has become a reference for professionals linked to the construction industry’s value chain who are looking for the latest trends and innovations in sustainability, technology, and efficiency. More than 22,000 visitors are expected to attend.

Xavier Vilajoana, president of Construmat and APCE Spain, emphasizes “the representativeness and transversal, innovative nature of the fair’s commercial offering” and is confident that “the interaction between professionals, companies, experts, and government representatives at the fair will generate new ideas, solutions, learnings, and collaborations that will contribute to transforming an industry essential for increasing the housing stock and constructing buildings, spaces, and environments more efficiently and sustainably.”

Highlighted sectors and companies

So far, the most represented sectors at Construmat include walls, structures, facades, and roofs; wooden, metal, and PVC carpentry; insulation, waterproofing, coatings, and paints; flooring and cladding; industrialized construction; and machinery, tools, and equipment. These sectors account for 65% of the total exhibitors.

he trade fair will also showcase specialties such as climate control and ventilation; solar protection; professional services; lighting; urban planning, landscaping, and outdoor spaces; furniture and interior design; glass; BIM and ICT for design and construction; bathrooms; kitchens; water management; energy management and capture; as well as associations and organizations.

Among the companies already confirmed are some of the most influential in the sector, such as Alsina, Technal, K-line, Urbidermis, Jung, Greco Gres, Exlabesa, Deceuninck, Grupo Valverde, Cosentino, Stil Condal, Indalsu, Alufactory, Fischer, PMP, Molins, Saltoki Offsite, Lahyer, Evowall, Tq Tecnol, Renolit, Dakota, Steico, KLH, and A. Solanes, among others.

On the other hand, 36% of the commercial exhibition will be international, showcasing the strong interest in the Spanish market and its influence in southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Specifically, companies and pavilions will be attending from France, Germany, Portugal, China, Turkey, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Morocco, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Egypt, Andorra, Lithuania, and more.

There will also be the participation of various international entities that will organize their own events and sessions within Construmat. Notable among them is the session by the Union of Mediterranean ArBuild Europechitects (Umar) titled “Natural Disasters in the Mediterranean Area. Architects at the Service of Society,” and the assembly and conference, an association representing residential developers and house builders from 18 EU countries, focused on affordable housing.

Start-ups and investment forum

In the exhibition area, a space will feature around thirty start-ups selected for their technological solutions to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in construction (Contech), as well as reinvent services in the real estate sector (PropTech). This area will be accompanied by a space for talks, pitching sessions, and networking to present projects to potential investors, buyers, and partners. Additionally, Construmat will award a prize for the best emerging company of this edition.

Social housing, AI, and healthy biohabitable environments

Apart from the commercial exhibition, Construmat stands out as an important forum for dialogue and sector knowledge, as well as a place for training, innovation, and networking with multiple activities. Among them is the Sustainable Building Congress, where leading projects in sustainable construction will be presented, related to the production of social and affordable housing, the creation of healthy biohabitable spaces, and the use of artificial intelligence in construction processes.

Another highlight will be the new Construmat Experience space, which will host project presentations, masterclasses, and roundtables promoted by sector entities. Topics will include AI-driven designs, improving the resilience of buildings against climate emergencies, strategies to attract young talent and women to the industry, energy savings, and solutions for reconstruction following the DANA disaster in Valencia. The ACI Engineering Summit will also take place, where key issues such as decarbonization, AI control systems, and complex construction projects will be discussed.

Workshops, showroom, and materials

Additionally, practical demonstrations and training will play a key role in the event. The Workshop Area will host interactive workshops and activities designed for professional learning and updating. Participants can attend sessions on solar certification, sustainable decorative painting techniques, industrialized masonry, airtightness in rehabilitation, and other innovative solutions presented at the fair.

Visitors can also explore La Plaza, a 200m² showroom of ephemeral, functional, and sustainable architecture. Designed by young talents, it will integrate energy efficiency, healthy materials, and aesthetics under the concept of “Eco Construction.”

Another interesting space will be the Construmat Materials Library, which will showcase innovative composites and circular building materials used in prototypes to test their application potential.

Promoting talent

This year, Construmat is launching an initiative to present the construction sector as an attractive career option for young people and other professionals. In collaboration with Barcelona Activa, May 22 will be dedicated to exploring the types of qualified professionals the industry needs, offering career guidance, and generating professional opportunities through meetings between candidates and recruiters.

Finally, in partnership with the Mies Van der Rohe Foundation, Construmat will present the Construmat 2025 Awards. These awards recognize excellence and sustainability in architectural projects and will honor responsible and pioneering constructions in healthy architecture.
